HISTORY AND OWNERSHIP
The Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club was founded in 2005. Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance has owned the Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club since 2007.

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club is to foster teamwork among its members and to provide members with as many opportunities, as possible, to "Develop Business Relationships...Period." By working together, members are able to strengthen their ties with the other member companies and to garner personal introductions both inside and outside the membership.  We are centered around the philosophy of working together, committed to selecting the best members in each of their core business categories, and dedicated to helping each of the members grow their business and business relationships. We know that people do business with people they know and trust...and that business is all about relationships.  

EVENTS/PROGRAMS
The Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club has numerous events, programs, and environments to bring members together. The most well-known is the Signature Breakfast, which averages around 250 executives in attendance each month.  These Signature Breakfasts, though, are just the tip of the iceberg for what we do on an ongoing basis to bring the members together and to help them find solutions to their business challenges. 

Here is a snapshot of some of our programs and events:

The Get Connected Lunch Series - weekly lunches that we coordinate at all levels, from the executives to the sales force, as well as connecting members to their prospects outside the membership.  

The Referral Rectangle - a strategic approach to connecting members with their top prospects outside the membership.

Roundtables/Seminars/Lunch n' Learns - opportunities to showcase and offer tips, information, and insight to both members and selected outside business leaders, as well. 

We also offer PM Receptions, Executive Luncheons, an annual Golf Scramble, ongoing Tennis Mixers, a bulletin board on the back end of this website to help share information, and countless other additional networking and enrichment opportunities for members.  These events are open to members only and are not open to the public or general business community at large.

CHARITY SPOTLIGHT
Part of the mission and goal of the Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club is to make a positive contribution to the social community of the Mid-South.  Each year, the Club honors and recognizes as many non-profit and charitable organizations as possible, through various programs and vehicles.  The Charity Spotlight, for example, recognizes deserving charities who are serving the Memphis community, as part of the Signature Breakfast event.  Each charity receives invitations to the Signature Breakfast, along with much exposure and a charitable donation on behalf of the members.  Previous Charity Spotlights include AGAPE Child & Family Services, the Boy Scouts of America, Service Over Self, and Youth Villages.
